OKOCHA IS HAPPY THAT MESSI LEFT BACA

What ever you don't valued, you will definitely lose it.

Immediately Messi left Barcelona living Some of Baca fans like Abey and Even the Club president in depression.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles captain, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, has welcomed Paris Saint-Germain’s new attacker Lionel Messi, to Paris.

Okocha sent his welcome message via his Instagram handle to Messi, who just moved to Ligue 1 after an emotional exit from Barcelona.

Okocha, who was a former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, earlier congratulated Messi and said he would not have returned to Nigeria if offered the Argentine superstar’s pay while playing for the club.

In 1998, French side Paris Saint-Germain spent around £14 million to sign Okocha, making him the most expensive African player at the time.

During his four-year stint with PSG, he played 84 matches and scored 12 goals.

“Welcome to Paris,” says Okocha in the caption of a photo of him and Messi on Instagram.

Lionel Messi to join PSG, not Man City, after Barcelona exit?

Losing Messi the 'worst nightmare' for everyone connected to BarcelonaMartin Ainstein explains the feeling around Barcelona after Joan Laporta confirmed Lionel Messi's departure.

The news that Lionel Messi has left Barcelona on a free transfer this summer has rocked world football, and it has inevitably got tongues wagging about where the Argentina superstar will go next.

Manchester City were considered to be the 34-year-old's most likely destination, according to Marca, despite Pep Guardiola's team having just spent £100 million on Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish and their plans to bring in Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane for a similar amount.

But Guardiola played down the prospect of signing Messi by insisting the Argentina international is "absolutely not in the club's thoughts."

Messi's other main option seems to be Paris Saint-Germain, who have brought in some big-name signings this summer already with free transfers for Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Georginio Wijnaldum, alongside a €70m deal for Inter full-back Achraf Hakimi, while star striker Kylian Mbappe's contract (which expires in 2022) needs to be extended.

Sources have told ESPN's Julien Laurens that PSG reached out to Messi on Thursday. PSG sporting director Leonardo and chairman Nasser al Khelaifi are heavily involved in the discussions with Messi, having been in contact with his father Jorge for some time and and the former Barcelona star's arrival would mean Kylian Mbappe stays in Paris for at least another year and that club halt a planned move for Man United midfielder Paul Pogba.

AS reports that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has requested an urgent meeting with Messi's representatives as he wants to sign the Argentine.

Major League Soccer is also an option, with sources telling ESPN that City's offer back in August 2020 included a long-term contract that would see him move to partner club New York City FC after three years in the Premier League.

For now, it appears Messi intends on staying at the top level in Europe for a few more years before heading across the Atlantic. But he will have his pick of options, and could yet perform another U-turn to sign his new deal at Barcelona if the club can find a way to work out the finances with LaLiga.

Biden reverses Trump actions on green cards, architecture and ‘anarchist jurisdictions

Move undoes actions that blocked many immigrants from entering the US and sought to cut funding to cities Trump deemed ‘lawless’

Joe Biden has formally reversed a series of executive actions taken by Donald Trump, including a proclamation that blocked many green card applicants from entering the United States.

Trump issued the ban last year, saying it was needed to protect US workers amid high unemployment due to the coronavirus pandemic. Biden rejected that reasoning in a proclamation rescinding the visa ban on Wednesday. The president said it had prevented families from reuniting in the United States and harmed US businesses.

Other actions undone by the president included one that sought to cut funding from several cities Trump had deemed “lawless” and “anarchist jurisdictions”, and another mandating that federal buildings should be designed in a classical aesthetic.

The reversals come as the new president seeks to press forward with his own agenda and undo key aspects of his predecessor’s legacy. Since taking office last month, Biden has revoked dozens of Trump orders and issued dozens more of his own.

It’s a backlog that Trump created,” Morrison said. “He broke the immigration system.”

The latest slate of revocations targeted a grab-bag of issues, including a few that Trump signed in his last months in office.

Trump issued a memorandum in September that sought to identify municipal governments that permit “anarchy, violence and destruction in American cities.” The memorandum followed protests over George Floyd’s killing by Minneapolis police. The justice department identified New York City, Portland, Oregon, and Seattle as three cities that could have federal funding slashed.

Those cities in turn filed a lawsuit to invalidate the designation, and fight off the Trump administration’s efforts to withhold federal dollars.

Another reversed order included one issued by Trump in his waning days, which mandated federal buildings return to a more classical style of architecture. The memorandum added that architects should look to “America’s beloved landmark buildings” such as the White House, the US Capitol, the supreme court, the Department of the Treasury and the Lincoln Memorial for inspiration.

Biden also revoked a 2018 order that called for agency heads across the government to review welfare programs – such as food stamps, Medicaid and housing aid – and strengthening work requirements for certain recipients.
